Daniel B. Shapiro, född 1969. Judisk ambassadör i Israel för USA sedan mars 2011. Tidigare vice ordförande för mellanöstern- och nordafrikafrågor vid United States National Security Council.[1] Shapori sade vid ett tal inför Jewish People Policy Institute i september 2011 att USA:s politiska hållning i mellanöstern är att säkra Israel som en judisk stat, en politisk linje som genomsyrar hela den amerikanska administrationen.[2]
